Ess Dee posts Rs 9.16-cr net profit

Ess Dee Aluminium Ltd, a manufacturer of packing material for the pharmaceutical industry, has posted a net profit of Rs 9.16 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006. The company recorded a turnover of Rs 53.19 crore and earnings per share stood at Rs 4.86. The comparative figures of the corresponding quarter are not available as the company got listed in the quarter under review.

The company's business is organised under three segments — foil manufacturing, PVC rigid film manufacturing and foil printing. During the quarter, the company increased its aluminium foil production capacity from 3,600 tonnes per annum to 9,100 TPA. Ess Dee Aluminium currently has two production facilities.
