Unichem Lab PAT up 5.62%

Unichem Laboratories, a manufacturer of pharmaceutical formulations and active ingredients, has recorded 5.62 per cent increase in profit after tax at Rs 19.18 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, compared to Rs 18.16 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Net sales moved up by 17.39 per cent to Rs 131.32 crore against Rs 111.86 in the previous year.

The earnings per share (EPS) comes to Rs 5.33 for a Rs five paid-up share. During the quarter, the company has filed two abbreviated new drug applications. Shares of the company fell 0.59 per cent to close at Rs 270.95 on the BSE.
