New Delhi , Jan. 18

US-based legal process outsourcing firm UnitedLex today launched its first offshore delivery centre in India, to serve its clients in North America and Europe and said that it would employ 500 people in the next three years.

The centre at Gurgaon will comprise 80-85 per cent of its global business in the next three years, the UnitedLex CEO, Mr Daniel Reed, said. ``We will increase our employee strength in the centre to 500 in the next three years and 120 by end of 2007. The centre currently has 50 people,'' he said.

Helion Venture acted as the venture capitalist for setting up the company's Gurgaon facility, the company's Chief Solution Provider, Mr Ajay Agrawal, said but declined to divulge the details of the investment.
