PTC India Q3 net dips 33 pc

PTC India Ltd on Friday announced a 33 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 8.60 crore during the third quarter of the current fiscal, as against Rs 12.79 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal. Total income during the quarter decreased by 23 per cent to Rs 811.81 crore.

The traded volumes during the quarter showed a dip of 32 per cent, decreasing to 2,211 million units as against 3,280 million units in the same period last fiscal.

Commenting on the results, Mr T.N. Thakur, Chairman and Managing Director, said: "The numbers for the present quarter reflect the uncertain situation in the market for short-term traded power due to regulatory actions as well as participant entity behaviour.
