Spices & Condiments - Exports & Imports Cardamom futures up on export enquiries Our Bureau
Mumbai Jan. 19 Good export enquiries propped up cardamom futures on NCDEX by 2.80 per cent to Rs 432 per kg. Pepper futures gained 1.31 per cent at Rs 11,465 per quintal, while Jeera was up 0.75 per cent at Rs 9,195 per quintal. Weak international markets pulled own the entire soya complex. Soyabean futures were down 0.82 per cent at Rs 1,429 per quintal, while refined soya oil settled at Rs 464 per 10 kg. Tur continued its bullish trend to touch Rs 2,169 per quintal, up 1.36 per cent. Urad for February delivery rose 1.44 per cent at Rs 2,895 per quintal. Chana gave in 0.5 per cent at Rs 2,219 per quintal. NCDEX registered a turnover of Rs 2,017 crore (Rs 2,568 crore up to 11 p.m.) up to 5 pm on 69,350 (80,460) trades, while on MCX it was Rs 2,596 crore (Rs 11,200 crore, up to 11 p.m.) on 55,479 (2,00,645) trades.
