Bharat Earth Movers Ltd has been conferred the Golden Peacock Innovation Management Award 2006. The award instituted by the Institute of Directors is in recognition of BEML's innovative management practices that have propelled its growth and profits to new heights in the past four years. For the financial year 2006-07, the defence PSU has set a sales turnover target of Rs 2,600 crore, it said in a release. The BEML CMD, Mr V.RS. Natarajan, received the award in Kolkata on Saturday from Dr Ola Ullsten, former Swedish Prime Minister.
