Visakhapatnam, Jan. 20

The Visakhapatnam port has established a record in gypsum unloading in bulk. According to a press release issued by the port, 23,775 tonnes of gypsum were unloaded from m.v Super Tec at EQ-9 berth, surpassing the previous best of 22,024 tonnes on June 9, 2006 from the vessel, m.v Glory. The cargo was imported by Associated Cement Companies Ltd, New Delhi. Sea Port Logistics Pvt Ltd was the stevedores and Sea Port Shipping Private Ltd the steamer agents for the vessel.
