Personal Products Godrej Consumer net up 11 pc; to pay Re 1 interim Our Bureau
Sales revenues (net of excise) increased by 29 per cent to Rs 238 crore (Rs 184.1 crore). With the sales of its toilet soaps rising by 25 per cent, the company continued to be the second largest soap manufacturer in the country. Its toiletries sales increased by 63 per cent while its hair colour business grew by 50 per cent on a consolidated basis. In its international operations, sales from the acquired brands of Keyline (UK) and Radipol (Africa) stood at Rs 25.8 crore and Rs 14.5 crore, respectively for the third quarter. The board of directors has declared a third interim dividend of Re 1 on shares of Re 1 each (100 per cent) for the financial year 2006-07. Declaring the results, Mr Adi Godrej, CMD, said: "Our business performance during the quarter has been encouraging. All our soap brands continue to enjoy healthy sales growth. Our international operations are also gaining momentum."
