Paswan seeks mining lease for KIOCL

New Delhi, Jan. 21

The Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers and Steel, Mr RamVilas Paswan, has urged the Ministry of Mines to allot the mining lease of the Khandadhar mine in Orissa to Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd (KIOCL), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Steel.

In a communication to the Minister of Mines, Mr Sis Ram Ola, he has drawn attention to the Orissa Government's reported decision to forward the application of South Korean steel major POSCO for a prospecting licence to the Central Government.
