I-mate launched in Hyderabad

Our Bureau

Bangalore, Jan. 21

Phone-maker I-mate has reinforced the thrust in the southern region, with the launch here of its latest phone, the PDAL. The PDAL is a Wi-Fi enabled phone that offers push-e-mail (as opposed to pull e-mail, which only download the e-mails when you manually command it.).

The company's devices are distributed in India by 4G Mobiles Retailing and Broadband Services, a Delhi-based firm. I-mate is offered in 700 outlets in the country. The Indian market for Windows mobile devices will rise by over 70 per cent. "We are planning to take our products to the masses. Soon, e-mails, chat and business communication applications will be a common need. We hope to target the manager-level executives in various corporates with our business smart phones," said Mr Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman, I-mate.
