Revisiting IPO scene

This is with reference to "Revisiting IPO scene — Do the new entrants still merit a close look?" (Business Line, January 21). Encouraged by the buoyancy of the market, small investors tend to invest in IPOs, regardless of the observations by "informed sources".

The much-awaited SEBI directives on rating with regard to the quality and price fixation may help the small investor better leverage his hard earned money. The findings may lead to corrective steps.

Many IPOs are expected before the end of the fiscal. The retail investor should take well-informed decisions.
