Kolkata Jan. 22 Heating, ventilating and air-conditioning products, systems and services company Trane India, the local arm of US-headquartered American Standard Companies, has outlined its plans for the growing Indian market, where it proposes to position its "energy-efficient and environmentally-responsible" products and services.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Mr Sanjeev Seth, Trane India's Marketing Manager in-charge-of the North, East, Nepal & Bangladesh, said the company's scope of offerings include the sales of integrated comfort solutions (ICS), including equipment, controls, services, comprehensive maintenance solutions and spare parts.

The company serves customers in the telecom, IT/ITES, lodging and life sciences vertical markets.

Mr Seth said Trane has 27 manufacturing facilities globally including China, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia. He ruled out any immediate plans to set up manufacturing facilities in India. In India, the company has 1,200 installations with a cumulative installed tonnage of 3.5 lakh tonnes.

Domestic clients

Among the companies in India that Trane has sold ICS include Reliance Industries, GE India, Dr Reddy's, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Intel, Wipro, Unitech, Delhi Metro and hotel groups such as ITC, Hyatt, Apeejay and ITC Group.

Mr Seth declined to divulge sales figures pertaining to the Indian market but said that, in view of the growth in real estate infrastructure across the country, Trane India is targeting a 20-25 per cent growth in business in the next 12 months.
