`Indica Xeta variants a big success'

Hyderabad, Jan. 23 Petrol variants of the Indica car Xeta from Tata Motors Ltd have proved to be a big success, according to Mr Nithin Seth, General Manager, Tata Motors Ltd.

Addressing a press conference here today to announce the launch of an all- frills Indigo stretch version in the Andhra Pradesh market, Mr Seth said that the company was pleased with the spurt in demand for Xeta variants.

The launch of Xeta petrol variant at attractive price options and new engines has managed to help make significant inroads into the market place.

"The company has been registering sales of 1.25 lakh cars in the first nine months and growing at 25 per cent per annum. In the B-segment where Indica markets, we have garnered a market share of 20 per cent and in the C segment, we account for 35 per cent share with the Indica range," he said.
