Compuware opens facility

The US-based software firm Compuware Corporation has major expansion plans in the country. It has established a 35-seater facility in the city and plans to expand to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. It expects to double its headcount in 6-9 months. The firm employs over 7,500 globally. Compuware now has 100 customers, eight resellers and three strategic partners. It has been in the Indian market for eight years. It hopes to target the top 100 Indian corporations as customers by the end of this fiscal.

The company is also looking to acquire tech firms. "It is part of our strategy to add to our integrated IT performance solutions," said Mr Sachin Khanna, Country Director, Compuware India. Compuware offers IT solutions for product lifecycle management.
