India, Iran, Pak talks on gas pricing today

New Delhi Jan 23 The contentious issue of gas pricing is to be deliberated upon at the official level meeting of Iran-Pakistan-Iran on the proposed $7-billon pipeline project.

A senior Petroleum Ministry official said: "We have to first decide on the price of gas. Other issues like who and how the project will be built and maintained can be negotiated later."

A trilateral meeting, which was earlier scheduled for January 20-21, is being held on January 24-25 in Tehran.

Mr Anil Razdan, Special Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, is leading the Indian side.
