Hyderabad Jan. 25 Prithvi Information Solutions Ltd has recorded sales income of Rs 199.34 crore with a net profit of Rs 23.36 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006 against sales income of Rs 116.51 crore and a net profit of Rs 14.34 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. This reflects a growth of about 71.09 per cent in sales and 62.87 per cent in net profit, respectively.

While last fiscal, the company recorded sales of Rs 452.72 crore with a net profit of Rs 53.34 crore, the first nine months' sales of Rs 509.04 crore and a net profit of Rs 63.99 crore surpassed those numbers.

The shares traded lower at Rs 372 on the BSE against the previous close of Rs 381.25.
