Trade & Labour Unions BA cancels flights to India due to strike Our Bureau
An airline spokesperson said that the India operations were being affected as the incoming flights from London were not being operated. The proposed strike has forced British Airways not to operate any passenger flights from London's Heathrow airport from midnight January 30 until midnight the following day. In a statement the airline has said that on February 1 and February 2 it would not operate both the daily flights operated from Delhi and Mumbai and also the daily flight from Bangalore. Besides, the flight from Chennai to London on February 3 has also been cancelled. The airline has said that any passenger whose travel plans have been affected due to the proposed strike will be allowed to claim a full refund, rebook their flights for a later date or be rebooked by the airline with another airline. The airline has also urged customers to check its Web site (www.ba.com) regularly and use `manage my booking' link to obtain information about their reservation.
