Coimbatore Jan. 25 State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) has reported a net profit of Rs 77.85 crore (Rs 52.39 crore) for the quarter ended December 2006.

While its net profit rose by 48.6 per cent over the corresponding quarter of the earlier fiscal, its total income at Rs 755.33 crore (Rs 605.76 crore) registered a 24.7 per cent increase.

According to its Chief General Manager, Mr M. Ramasamy, the bank has recorded the highest growth of 84.5 per cent in net profit during the first nine months of the current fiscal.

He said the total business of the bank reached a level of Rs 45,000 crore with a year-on-year growth of over 21 per cent in deposits and 31.5 per cent in advances. `At the current growth pace, we are confident of crossing the business target of Rs 50,000 crore set for March 2007,' he said.
