Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has reported a 58 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 667.65 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal compared with Rs 423.19 crore in the same period last financial year. Total income moved up to Rs 4,525.16 crore (Rs 3,413.15 crore).

The company board, on Thursday, also approved issue of bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 (one share for every share held).
