Vimta Labs net down

Vimta Labs, Hyderabad-based testing and clinical research company, has reported a drop in net profit, while registering a marginal growth in turnover for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006.

While the turnover stood at Rs 15.10 crore (Rs 13.64 crore) for the quarter under review; the net profit fell by more than 50 per cent to Rs 1.60 crore from Rs 3.21 crore, according to a company press release. The company is in the process of achieving optimum capacity utilisation of the Life Sciences Facility, which was commissioned in the previous quarter. Consequent to this gestation, there is a reduction in the EBITDA and net temporarily, the release added.
