Pharmaceuticals Divi's Labs net climbs 66 pc at Rs 31 cr Our Bureau
The third quarter results include operations from the special economic zone (SEZ) unit at Chippada, Bheemunipatnam near Visakhapatnam also, according to the un-audited financial results announced on Saturday. The basic EPS (earning per share) stood at Rs 25.54 against Rs 14.74 in the previous year's quarter. The consolidated results include the financials of subsidiaries, Divi's Laboratories, US and Divi's Laboratories, Europe. As no subsidiaries were required to be consolidated as on December 31, 2005, the previous year's figures are not given, the company said in a press release. Divi's Labs, a major manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates, has during the quarter under review filed a Drug Master File with the US Food and Drug Administration for a generic product.
Nine-month income
For the nine-month period, Divi's Labs earned a total income of Rs 482 crore (Rs 262 crore) and a net of Rs 87 crore (Rs 48 crore). While the growth in income was 84 per cent, the net rose by 81 per cent.
