Andhra Sugars profit rises

Hyderabad, Jan. 27

Andhra Sugars Ltd reported a net sales turnover of Rs 136.63 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, marginally up from the Rs 117.93 crore it earned in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. It registered a net profit of Rs 16.21 crore (Rs 14.56 crore). According to the unaudited financial results announced by the company, the earning per share for the quarter stood at Rs 5.98 against Rs 5.37 in the corresponding quarter last year.
