New Delhi, Jan. 27

The Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, on Saturday held pre-budget discussions with representatives of some foreign institutional investors (FIIs).

Official sources maintained that procedural issues and not any "big-bang" policies came up for discussion at the meeting, which was the ninth in the series of pre-budget consultations of Mr Chidambaram in the run up to the Union Budget for 2007-08.
