Vijayawada Jan. 28 Seven retail outlets of Reliance Fresh were opened on Sunday — four in Vijayawada and three in Guntur. In Vijayawada the outlets are located at K.K Towers, Vinnakotavari street, in one town area here; Prakasam road in Suryaraopeta; Nageswararao Pantulu road near Gandhinagaram and beside SRR College in Machavaram.

In Guntur, the stores are located at Brodipeta fourth lane, GGK Plaza (Arundalpeta) and GV Doctor's Plaza (Kothapeta). All the seven stores will be open on all days of the week, from 8 am to 9 pm.

More Outlets

The stores were opened by the first customer who walked into each store, "in accordance with the policy of the company to accord the highest importance to customers." Mr K. Venugopal, Chief Executive of the customer operations of the retail wing of the company, said at a press meet that the retail outlets had been opened in the State here and Guntur, after Hyderabad, and "we are testing the waters here."

Depending on the response of the public more outlets may be considered at a later stage.

He said the sevens stores together had a floor area of about 17,000 sq ft, with each spread over 2,300 sq ft on the aggregate.

Various kinds of fruits, vegetables, grocery and dairy products would be available at the stores at competitive prices, with emphasis on quality, he added.
