The demand for having Anna University in Madurai would receive due consideration from the Chief Minister, the Minister for Higher Education, Mr K. Ponmudi, said here on Monday. Announcing this while addressing the golden jubilee celebrations of Thiagarajar College of Engineering, he said many requests had come for the same in the context of trifurcation of the university with regional centres in Tiruchi and Coimbatore.
Delivering the golden jubilee commemoration address, the Chief Minister, Mr M. Karunanidhi, paid tributes to the college founder, Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar.
