Reliance Capital Q3 net up 11.7 pc

Reliance Capital Ltd has recorded an 11.7 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 72.57 crore for the quarter ended December 2006, against Rs 64.98 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income rose by 46.4 per cent, to Rs 121.24 crore (Rs 82.82 crore). The quarter saw a rise in operating expenses for the company, which rose almost three-fold, to Rs 23.3 crore from Rs 8.3 crore. Earnings per share increased to Rs 3.24 (Rs 3.13). The company reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 92 crore and consolidated total revenues of Rs 436 crore.
