Bajaj Electricals net rises 115% to Rs 9.95 cr

Mumbai Jan. 30 Bajaj Electricals Ltd has reported a 115 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 9.95 crore (Rs 4.63 crore) for the quarter ended December 31.

Net sales grew 20.5 per cent to Rs 283.30 crore (Rs 235.07 crore).

During the calendar year, the company has achieved a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore.

"In rural electrification, we will soon provide service connections to 40,000 households below the poverty line in 900 villages through NTOC," said Mr Anant Bajaj, Executive Director, Bajaj Electricals.

The company has bagged orders to provide lights for the 2007 National Games in Guwahati and the 2008 National Games in Ranchi.
