New Delhi Jan. 30 Suprajit Engineering has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea-based Michang Cables, for long-term logistics and co-operative manufacturing programme.

The company on Tuesday informed the Bombay Stock Exchange about the signing of the MoU with the leading Korean cable, shifter and gas spring manufacturer Michang Cables.

The company further said that its new cables plant at Pantnagar in Uttaranchal is expected to start commercial production by April 2007.

Besides, its UK-based wholly owned subsidiary Gills Cables, which operates as a technology centre for its global operations has undergone successful restructuring through a redundancy programme, in line with the original plan, Suprajit added.
