Hotels TAJ GVK net up to 16% Our Bureau
The profit after tax (PAT) was put at Rs 15.65 crore (Rs 14 crore), showing a growth of 12 per cent. For the nine-month period, the company recorded a total income of Rs 175.78 crore (Rs 128.40 crore), a growth of 37 per cent. The PAT stood at Rs 45.60 crore (Rs 30.83 crore), an increase of 48 per cent. The hotel project in Chennai (Taj Mount Road) would be operational by mid 2007. It was being taken up at a cost of Rs 125 crore. It planned to renovate and expand Taj Deccan (formerly Taj Residency), Hyderabad at a cost of Rs 100 crore. "We will add 180 rooms," the release said. The company hoped that the new hotel at Begumpet, being taken up at a cost of Rs 70 crore, would be operational by 2008.
