Hyderabad Feb. 1 The State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH), as part of its business process re-engineering, on Wednesday launched the fully computerised retail asset central processing centre (RACPC) in Abids in Hyderabad.

The RACPC intends to increase customer satisfaction by offering world-class service levels. The Centre, inaugurated by Mr R.P. Sinha, Chief General Manager, will handle the process, sanctions, account maintenance and disbursement of all types of retail loans.

Housing loans, mortgage loans, car and education loans of the 84 branches of the SBH in the city will be centrally handled here. The RACPC, established in February 2005, is now fully computerised on the core banking solutions platform.

Expected growth

The Bank is expecting significant increase in the portfolio of P-segment retail loans during the current year by launching the computerised central processing centre, Mr Sinha said.

A sales force is also tagged to the centre to market the retail products and take them to the doorstep of the customer. A pool of officials having specialised credit appraisal skills will man the Centre.
