Marriott plans more hotels in Pune

Mumbai, Feb. 1

Marriott International Inc is set to manage three new hotels being built in Pune over the next three years, the company said in a statement on Thursday. The 153-room Courtyard by Marriott West Pune, the 250-room JW Marriott Hotel and the 430-room Marriott Hotel & Convention Centre will open in successive years beginning 2008. A local property development group will be developing all three properties. Construction is yet to begin for any of the properties, but the JW Marriott Hotel is expected to break ground early this year.
