Minerals NMDC profit before tax up Our Bureau
The Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose to Rs 915 crore (Rs 734 crore), an increase of 25 per cent. The domestic sales accounted for 88 per cent of total sales for the third quarter as compared to 76 per cent during corresponding period last year. The board of directors, which met under the Chairmanship of Mr B. Ramesh Kumar has also announced a second interim dividend of 190 per cent on equity shares of Rs 10 each out of the current year profits taking the total interim dividend to 267 per cent. During the nine months the turnover increased to Rs 2,818 crore (Rs 2,569 crore), an increase of 10 per cent. The PBT rose 26 per cent to Rs 2,428 crore (Rs 1,922 crore).
