Vivimed Labs net, turnover up

Vivimed Labs Ltd, a speciality chemicals manufacturer, has recorded a turnover of Rs 26.2 crore (Rs 21.19 crore) for the third quarter ended December 31, 2006, a 23.6 per cent increase against comparative quarter of last year. The net profit for the current quarter stood at Rs 2.66 crore (Rs 2.31 crore), a growth of 14.7 per cent, according to a company press release. The basic and diluted EPS was Rs 3.66 for the quarter and Rs 10.84 for the 9-month period. The Hyderabad-based Vivimed Labs with core competence in synthetic organic chemistry is also the second largest manufacturer of Triclosan, an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient. The company's contract manufacturing division is currently exploring joint venture/ alliances with manufacturers and IP (intellectual property) companies in the speciality chemicals sector and would soon enter commercial phase in the coming two quarters, the release added.
