Ma Foi Academy plans to set up overseas facility

Coimbatore Feb. 3 Ma Foi Academy, the training division of HR consulting firm Ma Foi Management Consultants Ltd (MMCL), is not only looking at pan-India presence, but is also planning to set up facility in overseas locations such as Malaysia and Thailand by the end of the current calendar year.

"We have just commenced operations in Sri Lanka. Our plan is to strengthen presence in the SAARC countries and the Asia Pacific region," Ms Viju, Senior Consultant, Ma Foi Academy told Business Line. The Academy operates through a business partner (franchisee model) and is present across 21 cities in India. Ms Viju said the plan was to have at least 100 business partners by the end of 2007.

Various programmes

"We started operations towards the end of 2004. In the first year, we imparted training 2,000 students. It more than doubled to 4,500 last year," she said, and pointed out that the academy offered short-term, intensive career oriented training programmes to individuals and corporates.

Training includes programme in English language, sales, interview preparatory training etc. for individuals.
