DuPont and Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), here are jointly organising a one-day seminar on `Fluorine compounds in pharmaceuticals and agrochemical industries' on February 9.
The seminar would bring experts from India, France and the US together to present their original work in the area of fluoro-organic Chemistry.
The lecture topics include latest developments in selective fluorination, use of ionic liquids, fluorinated heterocycles and information on new age alternatives to triflic acid & DAST.
There will also be interactions on the history and societal importance of fluorine. R&D and process development personnel from pharmaceutical and agrochemical companies would be the target for the seminar.
Dr Homi Bhedwar, Director, DuPont R&D, Dr Rene Gree, Director of Research, University of Rennes, France, Ms Kelly Kolliopoulos, Global Head, DuPont Fluoro Intermediates, Dr S. Narsaiah, Deputy Director, IICT, Dr Lee Sprague, Senior Research Associate, DuPont FluoroProducts, and Prof. O. D. Gupta from University of Rajasthan are among the speakers.
