The World Cup fever is to start from March 13 and go on till April 28, during which the broadcaster hopes to cover 51 matches live played by the 16 teams across its three channels.

Coverage

The popular programme "extraaa innings" will kick-start coverage from 5 p.m. every evening. As per the telecast schedule, all group stage matches will be aired on MAX, SAB and PIX, with the Super Eight matches, semis and finals simulcast on MAX and SAB, in English and Hindi, respectively.

"For the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, we have made every effort to provide the viewers with unique access to live world-class coverage and also ensuring that not a single match will be missed," said Mr Kunal Dasgupta, CEO, SET India Private, in an official statement.

Greater reach

Mr Rohit Gupta, Executive Vice-President, Ad Sales & Revenue Management, SET India, added that expanding the network's Hindi coverage through SAB, will mean "a far greater reach with a bigger platform for ratings and viewership".
