Bangalore Feb. 6 Northrop Grumman Corporation, a US defence contractor, and Bharat Electronics Ltd on Tuesday said both the companies will co-produce defence-related products for India.

As part of the arrangement, the companies will explore business opportunities on potential co-production opportunities in support of the Indian government's current and future aerospace and defence electronics requirements as well as Northrop Grumman's International market requirements.

Both the companies will also produce Northrop Grumman's international market requirements, Ms Katie Gray, Northrop Grumman's Vice-President of the company's F16 programmes, told a news conference. Both the companies will sign an MoU at the Aero India 2007 trade show on Wednesday.

"This agreement will build on the individual strengths of our two world-class organisations to expand business opportunities in India," said the Northrop Grumman's sector Vice-President of business development and strategic planning, Mr Brian J. Morra.

"We will also provide contract manufacturing support for Northrop Grumman," said BEL's General Manager for international marketing, Mr K. Prakash.
