An international seminar on castor oil and value-added derivative products will be held in Ahmedabad on February 18. Organised by the Mumbai-based Solvent Extractors Association of India, the seminar will discuss castorseed crop prospects, castor oil demand and supply fundamentals, role of processing technology, export prospects and related issues. There will also be `price outlook' session. Experts from within the country and outside including large trading houses are likely to share their expert views on the market. India is the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of castor oil. The commodity has a wide range of excellent industrial application.
