Mumbai Feb. 7 A large number of companies globally are unable to accurately quantify the benefits of the outsourcing deals, reveals a KPMG global survey of 659 companies.

According to the survey, 42 per cent of outsourcing arrangements are not reported by a formal strategic measurement framework, while 72 per cent of the customers said that they did not have the benchmark for measuring the success or failure of their sourcing arrangements.

"Significant opportunities do exist for organisations to capitalise on the strategic value of outsourcing. This potential can be unlocked by a more consistent measurement of contract provisions about the relationship with service providers," said Mr Egidio Zarrella, GlobalPartner in Charge, IT Advisory, KPMG.
