He added that it is in active discussions with 10-12 companies for possible acquisitions in the healthcare, travel telecom, manufacturing, pharmacy and banking and financial services verticals. "We will be looking at acquiring companies in the price range of $50-200 million. We are not looking at (acquisition) deals below $40 million," said Mr Nandy. Mr Nandy said that the company would be looking at complete buyouts, but a stake purchase cannot be ruled out. This is in line with Wipro's strategy of acquiring a string of companies across different verticals that either fill up their technology gaps or a ready customer base. It has put through half a dozen acquisitions over the past 12 months.
