Global Broadcast lists at 70% premium

Mumbai Feb. 8 The stock of Global Broadcast News Ltd, owners and operators of news channel CNN-IBN, made its debut on the NSE at a 70 per cent premium at Rs 425 against the offer price of Rs 250.

The stock witnessed an intra-day high at Rs 518.80 before closing at Rs 505.90. The total traded quantity shares on NSE was 1,83,79,066 shares.

On the BSE, the stock listed at a premium of 66.84 per cent at Rs 417.10.

It touched an intra-day high at Rs 524, low at Rs 381.25 before settling at Rs 510.10.

Total of 1,30,80,245 shares were traded on the BSE.

The company had offered the issue to invest for expansion into Hindi news genre by investment in BK Fincap Pvt Ltd, which owns and operates the Hindi news channel IBN 7, repayment of a loan and for general corporate purposes.
