Kochi Feb. 9 A high level official delegation from Ivory Coast headed by Mr Gilbert Blue Laine, Ambassador to India visited Coir Board and held discussions with Mr A.C. Jose, Chairman of the Board.

Apart from the Ambassador, the delegation included Mr Sainy Tiemeie, Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Mr Konate Vassllki, President of FENOPACI etc.

The delegation also attended a meeting where various matters connected with the development of coir industry in Ivory Coast were discussed at length.

Mr Jose explained the activities undertaken by the Board for the development of coir industry in India.

The delegation was impressed upon the way the coir industry converts waste into wealth.
