Bangalore, Feb. 9

Bharat Electronics Ltd and Lockheed Martin on Friday signed an MoU to explore business opportunities on potential co-production avenues for domestic aerospace and defence electronics needs. This would also cover Lockheed Martin's export needs.

"Our partnership ... will help us provide innovative and hi-tech solutions for foreign manufacturers seeking Indian partners to meet their offset requirements. We will also provide contract manufacturing support for Lockheed Martin," said Mr K. Prakash, General Manager (International Marketing), BEL. "We can `build to print' as well as `build to spec' at our nine ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facilities."
