New Delhi Feb. 10 Celebrating its 40th anniversary in India, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has said that it would work on the Japan-assisted Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing Programme (VLFM).

Under this programme, Japanese manufacturing management and skills would be transferred to senior managers of Indian manufacturing industry. JICA would also undertake technical cooperation in railway development and education.

It intends to prepare and submit final feasibility report on the planned "multi-modal axle load freight corridors" with computerised control on Mumbai-Delhi and Delhi-Howrah routes by October 2007.

JICA had already submitted an interim report on the feasibility study.
