Kottayam, Feb. 11

The 125th anniversary celebrations of the Kottayam Public Library will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, Mr V.S. Achuthanandan, at the KPS Menon Hall here on Tuesday. The foundation stone of the new three-storey building to be constructed as part of the anniversary will also be laid by the Chief Minister. A sculpture by Kanai Kunhiraman will also come up in front of the library. Film festivals, art festivals and literary seminars will also be organised, said Mr C. Abraham Itty Cheria, Mr T. Sasikumar and Prof Madavana Balakrishna Pillai.
