Our Bureau

New Delhi, Feb. 11

To help students of technology apply their theoretical knowledge to develop workable solutions, IT firm Agilent Technologies plans to give them a hands-on experience through an award programme. The company is launching the second Agilent Engineering and Technology Awards in the top 50 engineering colleges as a talent search, the winners of which would visit the company's laboratories to work on technologies that can culminate into final products. "Under the programme, we will take two projects from each of the 50 colleges and eight of them would be selected finally,' said Mr Venkatesh Valluri, President and Country General Manager, Agilent Technologies.

The projects will be selected by a jury comprising academicians and industry representatives from all the four regions of the country.
