PCB notices to polluting units

Hyderabad, Feb. 12 The Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) has issued show cause notices to Hetero Drugs (Bonthapally in Medak district) and four other industries for "violating Board directions and causing water and air pollution" in Medak and Nizamabad districts.

The other industries, which were sent the notices, were Hetero Labs (Gaddapotharam, Medak dist), Lee Pharma (Gaddapotharam), RMS Research Labs (Bonthapally) and Nizam Deccan Sugars (Bodhan, Nizamabad district).

The industries have been directed to give reply within 15 days, a PCB release said.
