The Visakha Co-op Dairy has once again increased the price of milk in less than a month by about Re 1 a litre, citing the increase in the procurement price as the reason for the hike. The new price will come into effect on Wednesday.

The dairy, paying Rs 200 for a kg of fat to the farmers, has hiked it to Rs 220. Skimmed milk (500 ml) now costs Rs 7.50 against Rs 7 previously, double toned milk Rs 8 (Rs 7.50) and homogenised toned milk Rs 9 (Rs 8.50).
