Goel Ganga joins hands with Singapore group for school

Pune Feb. 13 Goel Ganga Group, a Pune-based builder, has launched the Global Indian International School (GIIS) at Pimpri in association with Global Indian Education Foundation, Singapore. Located at Swar Ganga, a mega township project of 650 flats spread over 18 acres, at Vallabhnagar, the new school will offer kindergarten to junior college education from two boards - Cambridge and CBSE - under one roof, Mr Sonu Gupta, Director, GIIS, said. The school will have a computer, science and mathematics laboratories, while the classrooms will be equipped with computers, broadband connection, LCD video projection and multimedia e-learning technology. Sports facilities like tennis court, a basketball court, a skating rink, jogging track, cricket pitch, a volleyball court and the garden are spread over 2 lakh sq ft, Mr Atul Goel, Managing Director, Goel Ganga Group, said. The patrons of GIIS include Dr Karan Singh, Mr N.R. Narayana Murthy and Dr Hari Harilela. Advisory board members include scientist Dr Vasant Gowariker and Ms Shabana Azmi, while Dr L.M. Singhvi, Justice Dharmadhikari, Mr Chandu Borde and Dr M.P. Chhaya are on the governing board.
