Hyderabad Feb. 13 The Rolling Placement Season at the Indian School of Business (ISB), which began in October 2006, has begun to attract interest from non-traditional sectors such as micro-finance, real estate and retail.

Over 190 companies have registered for placement interviews, compared with 143 that recruited at the ISB last season.

Holcim Ltd, Tischman Speyer, Italcementi S.p.A, Arcelor Mittal, Santos etc are among those who have evinced interest for senior management roles.

There has been a substantial increase in the number of overseas offices of many MNC's expressing interest in recruiting from the ISB. For the first time in five years, ISB attracted companies from Australia and Italy.

The Dean, ISB, Prof. M. Rammohan Rao, in a statement said, "The Indian economy is on a sharp growth curve and it provides plenty of opportunities for our students to grow with it. Taking a balanced view and opting for strong roles irrespective of the compensation is truly a mark of maturity."
